CellCiphr® Protein-Protein Interaction Biosensors
Cellumen, a division of Apredica, has developed protein-protein interaction biosensors based in part on the positional biosensor design using a variety of fluorescence-based detection modalities. Multiple biosensor pairs can be engineered into the same cells. These biosensors are sensitive, selective and reversible. The response is robust: Z' ≥ 0.5.
Example: Cellumen develops p53 and hdm2 Interaction Biosensor
Cellumen developed a specific and reversible CellCiphr® Protein-Protein Interaction Biosensor to measure the interaction of p53 and hdm2 in intact cells. The biosensor measurements are sufficiently robust to enable functional screening of molecules that disrupt the interaction of p53 and hdm2 at low affinity, such as nutlin3 (IC50 1.2 µM). For more information see Publication.
