Our goal is to use the cellular systems biology approach to improve patient stratification for clinical trial enrollments. Cellumen is collaborating with the Mayo Clinic and Foundation to create panels of cellular biomarkers using multiplexed fluorescence to apply to patient cells and tissues, starting with breast cancer. A retrospective is in progress to correlate biomarker panels with outcomes based on traditional pathology. Optimal panels of cellular biomarkers can also serve as diagnostic tools to improve treatment selection.
Cellumen is exploring collaborative discovery programs with the pharmaceutical industry to extend the development program in breast cancer and to link with cellular models of disease in the drug discovery efforts.
